Our History
The family business started as Interior Joinery Works and now has an estimated turnover of $30 million dollars with projects all over Australia. IJF Australia has always been a distinctive South Australian family business and some 50 years later this family philosophy continues. The IJF business originally pioneered in 1964 by brothers Ross and Reg Monteleone in a shed at Rosewater, determined to create a future for themselves and a family lifestyle to be admired.

Geoff Monteleone has driven the IJF succession structure with the help of the family business association and insists the family offspring do not have a right to a job.“The main thing about them is that they have a very good work ethic and company loyalty you can trust implicitly” he said.

Over 120 employees of IJF Australia are experienced professional tradespeople who are at the heart of the operation. It is through their valued contribution that IJF has become one of the leading joinery and fit-out companies in Australia.
